Local author publishes children’s book about RV travels.
The Adventures of Shining Hope book series launches in July 2019.
Littlestown, PA, June 24, 2019 – The Adventures of Shining Hope: Shining Hope Visits Niagara Falls will be released on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. The book is the first in a planned book series for children ages 5-9. Local author Libby Trostle said of its release, “I am excited to see the book come to fruition. The illustrator, Abbey Miller, really helped my story come to life!”
As someone who discovered the love of RV travels late in life, Trostle writes about her first-time adventures through the eyes of a young girl, in hopes of inspiring children to explore and learn about our beautiful Nation and all it has to offer.
“The first book takes Shining Hope, the sparkly silver travel trailer, to explore the Niagara Falls region in the United States and Canada. As a new international traveler, the book’s protagonist deals with homesickness, but soon realizes that home is wherever you make it –home is wherever you roam in Shining Hope,” explained Trostle.
Through the book series, children will experience the wonders of travel as they discover magical places, learn valuable camping and life lessons, and are inspired to become good stewards of our Earth. Gracie and Marshmallow, the book’s main characters, are sure to bring joy to every young reader.
“My grandchildren were my inspiration, and this first book in the series is dedicated to them.”
Other books planned in the series include: The Great Carolina Caper, Shining Hope Explores Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, and Shining Hope Heads West.
Trostle will be donating a copy of her books to all Adams County Public Library and Carroll County Public Library branches for local readers to enjoy.
In addition to being an author, Trostle is an Airstream enthusiast, a commercial Drone pilot, a travel blogger (www.streamingairheads.com), a wife, a mother of three, and a grandmother of six. She lives with her husband Brad in Littlestown, Pennsylvania.
